Author Jo Piazza is joining our April Banned Book Club for a conversation about her novel, Everyone Is Lying to You. Her book pulls back the curtain on the lives of ‘trad wives,’ curated perfection, and the dark secrets behind seemingly perfect lives. We’ll discuss the trad wife movement in our country, who these women really are, and what’s driving the trend. Jo will also share why she wrote the book and how it challenges myths about modern femininity, domestic ideals, and the cost of living up to an image.

Housing, childcare, groceries, healthcare -it feels like the cost of everything is going up except our paychecks. Across Pennsylvania, families are doing everything right and still feeling the squeeze. And for many women balancing work, caregiving, and household budgets, the pressure is even greater.
That is why Red Wine and Blue is hosting Keystone Kitchen Table Economics, a conversation about what affordability really looks like at the kitchen table in Pennsylvania. We will gather at Sips Cafe in Manchester on April 16th to break down what’s driving rising costs, how decisions made in Harrisburg impact our wallets, and what everyday people can do to push for policies that actually support working families.
Come ready to share your experiences, connect with others who get it, and leave with a better understanding of how we can turn frustration into action.

What does it really take to make ends meet today?
Join us for Walk in Their Shoes: An Affordability Challenge, an interactive simulation where participants step into the role of a community member navigating the difficult financial choices many families face every day. Through this hands-on experience, you’ll make real-world decisions about housing, childcare, transportation, groceries, healthcare, and more, all while trying to balance a limited budget.
The simulation is designed to build empathy and understanding for the pressures created by today’s affordability crisis and the tough trade-offs many of our neighbors must make just to get by.
After, we’ll come together for a conversation about the strategy plan Red Wine & Blue is implementing this year and how people across Pennsylvania are organizing to raise their voices, advocate for practical solutions, and support policies that help families thrive.

We’ll talk about what rising costs look like for families in our community, share our experiences, and discuss ways we can organize and advocate for policies that make Pennsylvania more affordable.
This is a relaxed, welcoming gathering where you can grab a bite, meet other local troublemakers, and connect with neighbors who care about building an economy that works for all of us.

What if we told you the future of our democracy is being shaped right now - and you have a role to play?
Join us Monday, April 20, 2026, from 7–8 PM for a powerful virtual conversation about what’s at stake in Pennsylvania—and what we can do about it.
We’re bringing together two incredible voices on the front lines:
Carol Kuniholm from Fair Districts PA will break down the real dangers of gerrymandering—how politicians draw maps to hold onto power and why fair districts are essential for a government that actually represents us.
Kadida Kenner, Executive Director of the New Pennsylvania Project, will share what’s happening right now with voting rights in our state—and how we can ensure every voice is heard and every vote counts.
Together, we’ll also walk through simple, meaningful actions you can take to help protect our elections and strengthen our democracy ahead of the midterms.
Invite a friend. Let’s make an impact together. Because when we show up, we shape what comes next.

Join Us to Advocate for Public Schools at the North Carolina General Assembly.
On day one of the North Carolina General Assembly’s short session, we’re joining a large coalition of public-school advocacy groups to deliver a petition telling our legislators that we are done waiting!
We are done waiting for them to pass a budget. We are done waiting for them to comply with the Constitution of the State of North Carolina. We are done waiting for them to fully fund our public schools and honor the Leandro Decision. We are done waiting for them to do right by our teachers, our school support staff, and our children! In this midterm election year, we can’t wait any longer. They must act or we will remember in November.
