Community Schools are a partnership among the City of Philadelphia, the School District of Philadelphia, and school communities to remove barriers to learning and support the success of each student. There are currently 20-City designated Community Schools located throughout the city and include elementary, middle, and high schools.

This orientation is meant for individual volunteers.

Technical Assistance - Clearance Submission Orientation (Philly Reading Coaches) September 16, 2025 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET The Technical Assistance Orientation is geared to volunteers who would like assistance completing and submitting their required clearances/certifications. This event is in person, but we will also be broadcasting via Zoom (see Zoom link). Please bring your laptop or tablet!

This session will be a more hands-on version of our virtual orientation, with the opportunity to take a look at our new materials, ask questions, and dive deeper into what it means to be a Philly Reading Coach.
