Coover for Congress Petition Canvass Canvass April 25, 2026 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM CT Shawnee County Democratic HQ, 5350 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604 Join us in supporting Don Coover for Congress by helping collect petition signatures needed to get on the ballot! This is a critical step in the campaign, and your participation will make a direct impact. We’re hosting two canvassing shifts: Morning Shift: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Please show up early for a 30-minute prep and training, materials distribution, and route assignments so you’re ready to go. Pizza will be provided between shifts (12pm-1pm) for volunteers who want to stay, connect, and recharge before heading back out. Whether you’re an experienced canvasser or brand new, we’ll make sure you’re fully prepared. Come help us gather signatures and build momentum!

Democracy Tailgate - Meet the Candidates Community Event May 31, 2026 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM CT Shawnee County Democratic HQ, 5350 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604 The Shawnee County Democratic Party is hosting a one-of-a-kind outdoor candidate event in the parking lot at 5350 SW 17th St. Instead of speeches and panels, candidates set up at their own tailgate stalls and YOU walk the lot, stop where you want, and have real conversations. What to expect: Meet candidates running for local, state & federal office - Kids games & activities - Food & refreshments - Voter registration booth on-site - RSVP to get a gift bag! - Walk at your own pace. Stay 20 minutes or 2 hours. Bring your questions, bring your neighbors, bring a lawn chair.

Keep Kansas Fair - A Community Forum Community Event June 29, 2026 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM CT Topeka Public Library, 1515 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604 Join us for a timely discussion on key issues impacting Kansas courts and voting rights. This event will break down SCR 1611, a proposed constitutional amendment that would change how Kansas Supreme Court justices are selected, and explore concerns about increased political influence and dark money in the judicial system. We’ll also cover recent voting law changes, including new restrictions on mail ballots, and what they could mean for voters across the state. Featuring guest speaker Nicole Revenaugh, with Rep. Kirk Haskins moderating the conversation. Come learn, ask questions, and be part of the discussion on protecting fair courts and accessible elections in Kansas. Event will be held in the Marvin Auditorium.
